Boise Idaho Short Term Health Insurance Plans

Blue Cross Of Idaho Short Term Health Insurance

Hello Boise!

This is Chris with Boise, Health and life insurance agency. Today we're gonna be talking a little bit about short-term health insurance policies here in Idaho.

So we have a few different options, a few different plans, A few different companies. Some are regional, local, more local, regional pacific Northwest. Some were more national uh with bigger companies that have a larger network nationwide.

But the more popular plans typically are the plans that uh, that we see here more on a local basis just because the networks are a little bit better and you can probably be pretty confident that your doctors are going to be available for you to see in the short term plans.

Now, the easiest thing to do. And one of my, one of my favorite plans is uh the Blue cross plan. They've done a really great job. And of course, it's the blue cross of Idaho.

Everyone's very familiar with the company. If you've had any sort of insurance over the last few years. So from my website go Idaho insurance dot com.

You can click on the
health insurance quote right at the top of the page and it will take you to the blue cross of Idaho and you can literally come in here and start shopping. So you've got a few different options.

So we've got dental, we've got the access plans which is um it's short term, but you can go up to 36 months, and then the short term is literally a six-month type of plan. Okay six month to uh I believe they go to a year still.

So uh and then you come in here and actually apply and you can see it's real quick. And then the access plan here, let's see if they're going to pull up, hopefully, they'll give us a brochure on here as well.

If not, there's okay. So they want you to go ahead just create an account.

So if not on my website, under short-term under products, short-term health insurance. I have a brochure of the short-term plan with
Blue Cross Of Idaho . You can actually download that right there and you can also just go to Blue cross.

Get out of my actual portal here and we'll go more into uh let's see here plans, we got the access plans right here And then down here you can see you can get plan guide benefits and features, the planned formulary.

You can apply right here, but also then down here it gives you a little bit more. Now there's underwriting on this because these plans are renewable for up to 36 months.

So what I've been told and what I've seen is these plans, there's underwriting but they're typically about 30 to 40% less expensive than the A. C. A. Plans. Okay.  So you have to compare, I know a lot of people who don't get some subsidies.

The A. C. A. Plans, uh the state exchange from your health Idaho. They can be very pricey.

So this might be Uh an actual good alternative and you can see what your premiums are about 40 lower than the ACA. plans. You just have to, you just have to apply. There's no I can't give you a quote on this upfront. We just have to apply and they'll come back with a rate based upon underwriting.

So there you go folks, um there's a planning guide here and you can download this brochure but of course just call, just call me and at the office, and will be more than happy to walk you through all about these different plans.

This 28-page plan. All about these plans and help you apply or get more information. Thank you and hope you're having a great day.

How To Get Help Paying For Medicare Premiums

Hi, boys see Chris with Boise Health and Life agency.

Today we're gonna be talking about getting help with your
Medicare Insurance premiums .

And what I mean by that is either getting help with your prescription drug costs or with your part A and B. Premiums and that is all dependent upon your income and your assets.

So what you can do is type into google
Idaho  S. H I. B. A . and this is an organization that's solely there to help folks with their Medicare and give them information and tools to find the best plans and to get actual help.

Now there's going to be quick. I just don't know about this. You can come in here real quick and what you do is just Idaho SHIBA Google that comes in here to Medicare tools and info and where you want to go is right here save money on Medicare.

It's going to tell you with the drop-down here the two programs that are available. You have extra help that can help you with prescription drug costs and it can help with premiums and or a combination of premiums and copays depending on your income and assets.

And then the other program is the Medicare savings program that can actually help you with your part A. And B. Premiums. Okay. Now real quick underneath here.

There's another drop-down and it says am I eligible? And it will give you For 2020 it was updated 2021 or 2020 April. But I will tell you right here whether you'll qualify based upon if you're an individual or married couple, your monthly income, and your assets.

And you know, it tells you down here what assets are counted.  So the one thing assets include money and bank accounts, stocks, bonds, and real estate. You're home, your car, personal possessions, and a burial plot.

Health Insurance
& Medicare Premium Savings

They're not counted. So you do if you have assets in your home, that's not counted as part of this there. When they talk about real estate, they're talking about investment, real estate.

Now then the Medicare Savings program is where you can get help with your part A. And B. Premiums, deductibles, and copays. And it's based upon again, monthly asset monthly income in your assets.

Now what you're gonna want to do is you'll come down here to apply, yeah, for extra help. When you apply for extra help on your part D. Premiums, uh you're going to apply through social Security, okay?

You can either go online or you can call them and apply over the phone, whichever you're more comfortable with. Now, when you do that, okay? You might as well apply uh for Medicare savings programs unless you already know that you're just not going to qualify so that's kind of up to you.

But anyways the information is right here so you can call them and apply as well and then hereafter you qualify right um you'll like they walk you through this whole the whole process and it will sync up with your plan.

If you've got a stand-alone uh part D. Plan or if it's in with a
Medicare Advantage plan that includes prescription drugs, it will get credited into your account. So it can be confusing and please just give the office a call.

We can walk you through it. The whole process will hold your hand with this because there are some moving parts and we'll just make sure that we get you taken care of. But SHIBA just checked in Idaho into google or into being and it will pop up and you'll go to save money on Medicare.

That's where you're going to want to go. And there's a lot of good resources, uh, with the state and with agents like myself. All right, have a great day.

Idaho Health Insurance Resources

Your Health Idaho | Health Insurance Resource

Hello, Boise.

This is Chris with
Boise Health and Life Insurance Agency .

Boise Health & Life Insurance Agency Broker Chris Antrim Reviews Your Health Idaho Website. This is a great resource when you are shopping for health insurance coverage. The website is constantly updated with pertinent information as well. If you are applying for a subsidy you must create an account at Your Health Idaho first then apply for the tax credit at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Give the office a call with any questions

208-409-3382 or visit https://ift.tt/3rW1lZK

And today we're going to talk about health insurance resources in Idaho and, of course, you have brokers and agents that you can talk to like our agency.

But a lot of people these days like to do some research on their own, I am like that. And you'd like to kind of have an idea of how things work, which is how I am.

So one of the best resources that you're going to find is Your Health Idaho
www.yourhealthidaho.org   is the state exchange that we use for health insurance now.

Oh, most people will be using, uh, your health, Idaho, and applying for a tax credit and that's just based upon your income. Okay, so and that's something that I can help guide you on.

Um, But what you do is you come in and you actually apply and set up an account at your health Idaho first.

Then if you're looking for or to see, if you qualify for a subsidy, you would set up an account with the Department of Health and Welfare, and you would apply through them Okay, So and as of today, which is say is April the eighth?

We still have through April 30th, where you can get a tax credit because of American rescue plan that President Biden had signed into effect.

So you still have time to do that. It has to be done by the end of the month. You have to have it in by the end of this month for a May 1st effective date.

Okay, Now, outside of that up here, you would come in to get coverage, okay? Individuals and families. And then this does a great job. The website does a great job of walking you through pretty much everything that you need to know.

The metal levels explain it right here The differences are basically it's your copays. Of course. Gold cost more. That's just how these plans work. They're picking up more of the cost.

Okay, so this is just right here just quick right here. And then over here on the right. Applying for a role tells you exactly what you need to apply.

Okay, Uh, just get everything together, do it right upfront, and you're gonna be getting going and getting the information back much quicker and then down here to apply it with cost savings, it tells you exactly what to do.

First Create the Your Health Idaho account. Then you would apply for coverage assistance with the
Idaho Department of Health and Welfare . You can do that online or by calling them, and then what will happen is they will review the information and they will send it to your health.

Idaho if you're going to get a subsidy and then when you run your quotes in your health, Idaho you'll shop and compare
health insurance plans . The subsidy will be applied, uh, down here if and here's a great little application flow in photograph down here.

If it's outside of open enrollment, you would come over here at a special enrollment page to see if you possibly have what's called a qualifying life event.

Okay, now, if you already have coverage and you have a qualifying life event, you should report that if you have a change in income because that you can, you don't want to end up at the end of the year with a big tax bill But down here you see the qualifying life events, birth and adoption, loss of coverage, marriage, and divorce, moving American, Indian, Alaska native and special circumstances.

So anyway, folks, always you can always call us. I'll walk you through it, and I'll hold your hand through this process to make sure you get taken care of.

But this is here for you, and I'll leave a link to their website in the blog post, call with any questions and have a great day.

Nampa Idaho Medicare Plans

Find Great Medicare Plans In Nampa. Shop For Your Coverage And Let Us Helps You Throughout The Process.

Nampa, Idaho is the third-largest city in Idaho. “The Heart Of Treasure Valley” is where the city is known. Being the largest city in Canyon County, 86.7% of people are covered with health insurance.

The residents of Nampa can enroll in one of the 70 affordable Medicare health plans. There are 17 insurance companies found in the city offering Medicare coverage including UnitedHealthcare,
Regence Blue Shield of Idaho , and Humana. These big insurance carriers are said to have the highest number of plans to choose from.

In the data, 31% of seniors in Nampa have a Medicare Advantage Plan and 24% of seniors have Medicare Supplements (Medigap) plan. Which leaves 45% of seniors are uninsured or underinsured.

Which left the question of what happens to other uninsured seniors? And what Medicare plans are affordable for them to suit their budget.

In this article, we’re going to explore some
Medicare health plans in Nampa, ID. As well as the costs of its coverage if you’re planning to enroll for your loved ones or just yourself.

MEDICARE ADVANTAGE SAVINGS IN NAMPA, ID

One of the best alternative solutions to prevent high annual cost is the Medicare Advantage plan. Medicare Advantage is privately owned and privately operated. These plans provide the same basic benefits as the Original Medicare plans. Aside from these, it also includes additional benefits for prescription drug coverage to your healthcare armory. Prescription drug coverage can be as broad or as simple as you need, depends on what you’re willing to pay. Normally, drug plans cover mostly generic brand medication. But few in the market are broad and allow no-cost usage of name-branded medications. Moreover, these plans let seniors with chronic illnesses and pre-existing conditions save thousands of dollars in the longer 5 to 10 years terms by covering their medical equipment and drug prescription as well.

Medicare Advantage plans provide the policyholder to save money even if he decided to opt for your provider’s dental and vision care coverage. Therefore, these plans tend to cover most of whatever the holder needs.

Following are Medicare Advantage plans:

  • Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) Plans: This is an organization or network that provides health insurance coverage for a monthly or yearly fee through a network of physicians. Premiums in this contract provide lower than traditional health insurance.
  • Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans: Sometimes called participating providers. It is a policy that has network doctors, health care providers, and hospitals. You pay less once you used the in-house network services.
  • Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) Plans: This plan allows the holder to see a specialist without a referral. Aside from that, there is no guarantee that the healthcare provider will accept this kind of insurance.
  • Special Needs Plans (SNPs): A Medicare Advantage plan that limits its membership with people with specific diseases and pre-existing conditions. You will be eligible for this if you meet certain conditions.

MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTS (MEDIGAP) SAVINGS AND COSTS IN NAMPA, ID

The primary difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplements is that this insurance will take over the Original Medicare plans. That means, with Medicare Advantage, you would likely have one healthcare provider which is your private carrier. While., in Medigap you will receive your coverage with two providers: the U.S. government and the private insurance company providing your additional supplemental insurance.

Some Medicare Supplements plan offered:

  • Medigap Plan G: It is the second most popular supplement next to plan F. It offers the greatest value for beneficiaries who are willing to pay small annual deductibles. Plan G is very similar to plan F, which covers almost everything you need; deductibles, copays, and coinsurance except the part B deductibles. This plan offers a higher-premiums of $473.
  • Medigap Plan F: Like plan G, Medigap plan F is the most comprehensive plan out of the 10 Medigap policies. Offering a wide variety of assistance may also cost more and expensive monthly premiums. This plan is an excellent choice if you want a comprehensive policy that will offer peace of mind to your daily expenses. Plan F does not apply for the new Medicare enrollees.
  • Medigap Plan K: Most likely the cheapest Medigap policy that still provides certain coverages for Original Medicare costs. This plan is a bit different from other plans because it provides only 50% coverage for Medicare Part B. It provides cheaper monthly premiums but will cover the costs of your expenses with only 50%.
  • Medigap Plan N: Another coverage with comprehensive and cheap price. Anyone who is enrolled in this plan will be responsible for cost-sharing in some situations. It has a similar coverage from plan F but generally costs less.

As we mentioned, there are numerous numbers of Medicare health plans offered by insurance carriers. The above mentioned are just the best and popular Medicare plans in Nampa. You can still choose your insurance coverage according to your needs. We just provide you some ideas on what is popular in the insurance market.

Deciding on what Medicare coverage you’re planning to enroll in, it is important to pay attention to the coverage, components, and not just the monthly premiums cost. Chris Antrim is an Insurance & Medicare Broker who would love to expand your choice with your insurance coverage. His specialized insurance can outweigh your options that will be right for your budget and needs.

Thank You For Reading!

Idaho Short Term Health Insurance Plans

This is a subtitle for your new post

Hey, Boise, this is Chris again with Boise Health and Life Insurance Agency .

Hey, today we're gonna be talking about short-term health insurance plans from Blue Cross of Idaho. They're one of our top companies here in Idaho. They've been around forever.

If you've had some group coverage for a while, you've probably had some of their plans because they are one of the largest in the state. So the easiest thing to do.

I mean, you come in here, I can talk a little bit about short-term health insurance, and I'll just show you this real quick. Um, up here, you can come to get a quote.

It takes you to the website. But here's their short-term PPO Brochure.

So you can just come in here and you can read this right from the website, look at the deductibles and the plans, and get some good information on what it covers and what they don't cover.

So, um, that's their hope. That can help you out. But you can always call us and ask questions. You know, that's what we're here for. Or you can just click through and you come over here and we'll let me see here.

It's taken a sec here, I see to load. So we're just gonna wait here and Oh, you know what? I'm just going to pause this. What? We do that. So here is where you can come in and you can actually apply for coverage.

Uh, individuals and families, This is the A C. A plan here is their short-term plan, which is usually up to 12 months, and it will take your right in there. Uh, and then the access plan is another plan that will go up to about 36 months on that.

So up here, you can come over here and just individual families, and we'll give you a breakdown where you can find out more information. All right, over here on these plans right here.

The access plans right here. So access plans are underwritten, but they are about 40% lower than the exchanges. So your health, Idaho, and everything.

If you don't qualify for a subsidy with the Department of Health and Welfare, Uh, and if those premiums are just really, really high for you, this might be a great opportunity. You can go up to 36 months.

Blue Cross Of Idaho Access Plans:

Our Access plans are available in three options:

If you would like to speak with a local, independent agent about your healthcare options, simply click the button below.

2021 PLANS GUIDE

BENEFITS  and  DETAILS

ACCESS PLAN FORMULARY

Ready to get started?

APPLY

  • Access Protector
This plan may be a good, affordable choice for anyone who wants the financial protection of maintaining health insurance.
  • Access Safeguard
This is our mid-level Access plan with lower deductibles and out-of-pocket maximum than our Protector plan.
  • Access Secure
This option offers the best coverage and lowest deductibles for those who want a little more protection.

It is not. It is not an A C A plan. Okay, It's a short-term plan, but typically, the premiums are about up to 40% lower. Okay, um, health insurance is very expensive here.

Yes, um, if you do qualify for a qualifying life event and you're eligible to apply for coverage or if you get a subsidy right here is where we can look at that. Open enrollment is not happening right now.

Um, but when it does, we can look at that. And then here's a 12-month plan that we can look at. Um so yep. So available for six-month terms.

Oh, short term. So it looks like it's a six-month term now. So at one point in time, we had 12 months. This is really to fill a gap in between an employer.

Before you either get a new job or go back onto you're waiting for open enrollment for Obamacare or the affordable care act. So there you have it.

There's some good information here, and like the access plans, you can learn more, and you can pull up a brochure and find out about those plans. And here are the three plans here that they have with the deductibles.

And you're now, uh, you don't. They can't give you rates here, because it is, um, they do kind of a kind of underwrite this. So, uh, you know, you go through underwriting first, and then you come back with a rate for you.

Okay? Now, the short-term plan, though, right here. They do have a rate guide on which they have a rate card. So here's the brochure, and let's see which one is the new one here. This is effective 51 So rates are going to change.

So here's the rate card and the Pdf. So here you go. So very simple. They go from $500 deductible, uh, you know, up to a 2004 and looks like this is, uh this is right here.

It guides you through here. So we're just looking here. Monthly rates. When you Okay. 14 months of coverage. 5 to 6. There we go. Okay. Little confusing there.

So, 1 to 4 months of coverage, this is the rate card, and there you go. But anyway, give us a call if you have any questions.

Thank you.
